How to Make the Right Choice when Hiring a Professional Home Organiser

How to Make the Right Choice when Hiring a Professional Home Organiser

When it comes to hiring a Professional Home Organiser there are two main ways in which they can help you organise your home.

Option 1: they can work along side you.

Option 2: they can organise it all for you.

Both approaches have their pros and cons, so it is important to consider which approach is right for you. To help you do this here is a breakdown of the benefits and drawbacks of both of these options.

Working WITH The Organiser

PROS:
You Have More Control

Working with an organiser allows you to have more control over the process. You can make decisions about what stays and what goes, where things should be stored, and how things should be organised. This approach ensures that your space reflects your unique needs and preference.

You Learn Valuable Skills

When you work with an organiser, you are not just getting a tidy space, you are also gaining valuable skills that will help you to organise and maintain your home in the future. You will learn how to build and hone your decluttering muscles, organise your possessions and create systems that work for you and your family. These skills will serve you long after the organiser has left.

You Can Save Money

When you work with an organiser, you can save money in the long run. By learning how to organise effectively, you will be more likely to find your stuff when you need to, which will prevent waste, unnecessary purchases and duplications. You will also learn how to maintain your space, reducing the need for additional organising services in the future.

CONS:
It Can Be Time-Consuming

Working with an organiser can be a time-consuming process, especially if you have a lot of possessions or a large space to organise. You will need to commit time to the process, which can be challenging if you have a busy schedule.

It Can Be Emotionally Draining

The organising process can be emotionally draining, especially when you have a lot of sentimental possessions or clutter to be sorted. Working with an organiser can be a helpful way to manage the emotional toll of decluttering, but it can still be a challenging process for some people.

Allowing Organiser To DO IT FOR You

PROS:
It Can Save You Time

Allowing an organiser to do everything for you can save you time. You do not need to be present for the organising process, so you can focus on other tasks.

It Can Be Less Emotionally and Physically Taxing

Allowing an organiser to take control can be less emotionally draining, especially if there is a lot of clutter to work through. The organiser can take care of the whole process, leaving you free to simply enjoy your newly organised space.

You Get Professional Expertise

By entrusting the organising task to a professional, you benefit from their expertise and experience. They have a trained eye for optimizing space, creating efficient systems, and enhancing functionality. This expertise ensures that your home is not only organised but also maximizes its potential for your needs.

CONS:
You Have Less Control

Allowing the organiser to do everything for you means that you will have less control over the process. It will be harder to make decisions on what stays and what goes, and you most likely won’t have a say on where things should be stored, or how things should be organised. As a result, this approach can mean that your space does not reflect your unique needs and preferences.

You Miss Out on Valuable Skills

Along the same vain as above, when an organiser does everything for you, you miss out on the valuable skills that come with working along side an organiser. You will not learn how to declutter effectively, organise your possessions, or create systems that work for you. This approach means that you may struggle to maintain the organised space in the future.

Choose what works for you

Regardless of the approach you choose, working with a professional home organiser can transform your space and your life. So, take the first step towards a more organised life, and choose the approach that works best for you.

On a personal note: my preference is to work alongside clients as I love seeing my clients transform along with their spaces. That being said there are times when I need to work independently (e.g. whilst my clients are attending to their child’s needs). I believe that flexibility and working towards a common organising goal is the key. If you would like to know more about my services click HERE
